We are fortunate to have a lot of students participating in Destination ImagiNation in the Denver Metro area. The results are that we have 3 large tournament scheduled the same day as ours. We’d like to find some way to prevent this from happening but the reality is….. we are at the mercy of the school donating their buildings for the date they give us for tournament. If you happen to know of someone who would love to spend a Saturday with amazing kids we’d love to have them come appraise! We have two training dates available or if you are interested in appraising Instant Challenge, IC Day on February 11th at St Mary’s Academy is great for hands on training. (Contact Pete if you’re interested in appraising for IC Day)

We are also looking for volunteers to help with the sales table, helping out in the appraiser lunch room, score room etc. If you have a student needing community service hours we love to sign those volunteer sheets!

Join us for one of the training dates to learn about the challenges, new scoring guidelines, and what to expect on tournament day.

Correction on Appraiser Training Dates

In the e-newsletter that went out yesterday there were two mistakes on the calendar for the Appraiser Trainings. The correct dates are:

January 29, 2011 – Appraiser Training, Alameda HS, 1255 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO, Morning time TBD.
February 19, 2011 – Appraiser Training, Cherry Creek 9300 E. Union, Englewood, CO 80111, Morning Time TBD

Please correct these on your calendar.

Appraiser Training – Saturday February 20th!

As always… we are asking that all Team Managers ask family and friends to please consider appraising at our South Metro Regional Tournaments. We need approximately 125 volunteers to run a successful tournament for our teams. As you can see we have several tournament happening on the same day so please consider volunteering at more than one tournament. You must appraise at one regional tournament to participate as an appraiser for the State Tournament.

Every Volunteer is much needed and appreciated!

As an added bonus Destination ImagiNation is participating in the Disney Give a Day – Get a Disney Day program. If you preregister with Disney, attend appraisers training and participate at our tournament – you’ll get a free ticket to a Disney Park.
