On December 6, 2011, Colorado citizens will come together again to raise millions of dollars for nonprofits like ours. Last year, the goal to raise $1 million for Colorado charities was exceeded — $8.7 million was distributed instead!

Destination ImagiNation Colorado has a goal of raising $5,000 this first year of our participation. That $5,000 will help train team managers across the state, provide seed money to start a creativity day camp this summer, and help us reach communities and students across Colorado who may not have access to the Destination ImagiNation program.

Creativity Tour 48 is comprised of four individuals (3 DI alumni and 1 DI admirer) with different backgrounds and passions who have bonded together over a love of travel and a strong belief in the learning that Destination ImagiNation® inspires. We believe Destination ImagiNation shows students their unlimited creative potential and teaches the values of teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect. We will travel through the lower 48 states on behalf of DI, and it is our goal to help more students benefit from this exciting and rewarding program. Their travel schedule begins January 28th and ends February 28.

Well… that’s about to change!

November 7th, 2009 we will be hosting our first DI eXXtreme for Adults Night. This is a night for the “grown-ups” to get together, have some food, fun and a little friendly competition.

Now it’s your opportunity to show us what you can do!

The Challenge: Get a team of eight adults (over 21) together for a night of creativity, building, fun and food. $25 per person or $175 for a team of eight.

Time: 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at  the Lionsgate Center 1055 South 112th Street, Lafayette  CO 80026

The Scene: Ever wonder what it would be like to be on a DI team? Here’s your opportunity to try your hand at the challenges our kids seem to excel at!

Materials: You will be given four hours to meet other DI participants, enjoy dinner and beverages (cash bar) complete a DI eXXtreme Challenge and present your solutions to the Appraisers (DI Alumni)

Scoring: (100 points possible)
0 to 20 points for getting together a team
0 to 20 points for making your reservation NOW
0 to 20 points for the creativity of your teams solution
0 to 40 points for your ability to have a good time

Registration Information:

• You can register either as an individual for $25 or register a team of up to eight participants for $175.
• If you’re registering as an individual we will place you on a team.
• Due to space requirements – we are limited to a total of ten teams. First come – first served!
• This is an adult only activity – no one under the age of 21 will be admitted. It’s okay for the grown-ups to have a little fun without the kids!
• Deadline to register is November 2, 2009 or if the spots for ten teams fills up — whichever happens first.
